During November 25-72, industry professionals from both countries had the chance to meet and talk business at the Virtual Greek-Belgium Workshop of Alternative Tourism and Gastronomy, organized by Tourism Media & Events. “The interest for the 2021 tourism season is strong,” according to the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), the workshop’s main sponsor. The virtual Greek-Belgium workshop hosted a total of 637 business meetings between Belgian tour operators, travel agents and food importers with Greek tourism businesses, destinations and food export companies. According to the event’s organizer, dozens of Belgian importers expressed their interest to get in touch with Greek companies in the F&B (food and beverage) sector. Overall, 79 travel agents, 25 media companies and 21 importers of Greek products participated from Belgium. Greece participated with 18 tourism destinations and businesses as well as 22 companies from the F&B sector.
