The hotels of the Metaxa Hospitality Group, located on Santorini and Crete, recently received a number of international awards for the prime hospitality services they are offering guests amid the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. “During this difficult year, our group remains true to its principles by creating value for its guests, the people and the environment in which it operates and grows,” Metaxa Hospitality Group CEO Andreas Metaxas said. The group’s Creta Maris Beach Resort on Crete and Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa on Santorini won six accolades at the recently held World Travel Awards (WTA) 2020 and the World Spa Awards 2020, two of the world’s most prestigious events that recognize excellence in tourism. Furthermore, Creta Maris for the fourth year was recognized for its sustainability program and environmentally friendly practices by Travelife. It was also announced “TUI Umwelt Champion 2020” for its environmental performance. In addition, the five-star hotel, for the seventh consecutive year received the “We do local” seal, while its “Pithos” restaurant was granted the “BIO Kouzina Gold” award.
