Conducted by the Municipality of Andros among tourism professionals to determine the behavior of travelers amid the pandemic, the survey found that the share of visitors from Greece was larger compared to 2019. The island also received travelers from Italy, the UK and France. The main reasons why Greek travelers chose to visit Andros this year were its proximity to Athens, the feeling of safety, its beaches and calm environment. The survey also showed that the percentage of younger travelers to the island increased compared to the previous year with the number of visitors aged between 50 and 60 and 61+ decreasing. Andros was found to have attracted a significantly larger number of solo travelers compared to 2019.
