AEGEAN Introduces Covid-19 Testing Option for Passengers

Greek airline company AEGEAN is offering its passengers the option to get a discounted Covid-19 test, prior to departure, at a number of medical facilities in Greece.

In collaboration with the Bioiatriki Group and the Athens Medical Group, AEGEAN is providing its ticket holders the opportunity to book diagnostic tests for Covid-19 through its dedicated website at special prices or through its Miles+Bonus program.

“The appointments can be scheduled either because coronavirus tests are requested by the countries of destination (usually 72 hours in advance), or -regardless of the trip – if the passengers wish to get tested for personal reasons and benefit from the offer,” AEGEAN CEO Dimitris Gerogiannis said in an announcement.

Passengers traveling with AEGEAN can book and purchase a molecular or antigen test and receive the results by the next working day.

Especially for its Miles + Bonus members, AEGEAN offers the possibility of payment through the miles redemption process.

In addition, the carrier will offer travelers who get a molecular test through its new service, an additional discount for their next ticket purchase.

AEGEAN’s Covid-19 testing service is available at diagnostic centers and clinics of Bioiatriki in Attica, Thessaloniki and the group’s associate medical center in Heraklion, Crete, and at the centers of the Athens Medical Group in Athens, Thessaloniki, the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” and the Thessaloniki Airport “Makedonia”.

The program will soon be extended to other large cities in Greece and Cyprus.
