The conditions have been announced in response to concerns about new variants of the coronavirus (Covid-19). The Netherlands Photo source: Schiphol Airport In addition to the existing mandatory negative test result for a PCR or Lamp test performed no more than 72 hours before arrival in the Netherlands, all passengers traveling to the country, or in connection in Amsterdam, will be required to present a negative result of a rapid Covid-19 test performed shortly before their departure. The test must not have been performed more than four hours prior to boarding the aircraft. Travellers must self-quarantine for 10 days on arrival in the Netherlands. After five days they can get tested. If the result of this PCR test is negative they may end their self-quarantine. Rapid testing point at Athens Airport Air France-KLM has informed that a special point for rapid Covid-19 testing has been created for passengers traveling from Athens International Airport (AIA) to the Netherlands. France Photo source: Air France The French government has announced changes to the conditions of entry and authorized tests for travel to France from a country in the European area (European Union member states, Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland, Vatican). All passengers seeking to travel to Metropolitan France on departure from a country in the European space, regardless of their nationality, must present a negative PCR test from less than 72 hours prior to departure (this applies to children from the age of 11). Passengers departing from a country outside of the European space, regardless of their nationality, must present a negative PCR test from less than 72 hours prior to departure (this applies to children from the age of 11); commit to a 7-day self-isolation period and undergo a second PCR test at the end of that period; and present the required certificates which may be downloaded on on the French Ministry of the Interior’s website. Moreover, formalities for travel to/from French overseas departments vary according to a passenger’s point of departure and destination.
