Established in 1996, HAPCO brings together the professional congress organizers and companies from the whole range of services and products of the conference market at an institutional level as well as their representation. According to HAPCO, the aim of teaming up with Destination Events Specialists is both to expand and develop the association and strengthen the voice of the industry. “We will achieve to keep our profession afloat, play the role of regulator in changes and new challenges; and work together to promote our association’s vision, before 2030,” HAPCO President Rena Tolis said. Tolis underlined that by partnering with Destination Events Specialists, the Greek meetings industry will have a stronger voice to all sector bodies as well as to the domestic and international client market. HAPCO has added two representatives of DMCs to its Board of Directors, increasing its members from nine to eleven. “HAPCO is convinced that this ‘union’ will open new horizons of cooperation and strategy,” the association said.
