The Cyprus Incentives & Meetings Associates (CIMA) will hold a virtual exhibition during April 14-15 to promote the country’s tourism offerings to international travel agencies and MICE professionals.

Organized for the first time and named “Meet in Cyprus”, the virtual exhibition is targeting travel agencies and conference organizers (buyers) from source markets.

“With the support of cutting-edge technology and a specially designed virtual platform, participants and hosted buyers will have the opportunity to receive information about the latest developments in the sector as well as the options and experiences that Cyprus can offer as a tourism destination,” CIMA said in its announcement.

In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to conduct live meetings with representatives of travel agencies, Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and hotels in Cyprus, as well as to take part in virtual interactive activities (such as cooking classes, Cypriot wine tastings etc.), and attend discussion sessions with experienced professionals of the global tourism industry.

The “Meet in Cyprus” virtual expo will include:

Virtual stands for exhibitors
Live discussions, panels and presentations
Live videos presenting activities and experiences
Real-time communication with visitors
Virtual B2B meetings

CIMA has assigned the promotion of the exhibition to a renowned tourism media & marketing company, while great exposure is expected though a series of campaigns to run on social media.

The “Meet in Cyprus” virtual expo is organized in collaboration with the Cyprus Conventions Bureau (CCB) of the Tourism Ministry.
