Originally scheduled to take place in Lavrio in October 2020, the event was postponed due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. The event, organized by Ondeck Media & Events and held under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), will promote recreational boating and marine tourism in Greece and also focus on large- and medium-size vessels available for sale. “The Olympic Yacht Show promotes premium recreational vessels and the entire industry surrounding this multi-level market. This is the most popular category of boats, widely used in Greece and abroad,” Ondeck Media & Events Director Gerasimos Gerolymatos said. The show will take place in the upgraded facilities of the Olympic Marine marina in Sounio and is expected to attract the interest of industry experts from the Greek and international market. It will feature some of the industry’s leading companies as well as a lineup of luxury RIB boats and premium day cruisers, also offering visitors the opportunity of a sea trial. In an announcement, the GNTO said the event is considered significant for the promotion of Greece’s thematic forms of tourism that enrich the country’ tourism product and attract the interest of special interest travelers.
