Aiming to provide international travelers with all the information they need on the health protocols implemented in Greece against the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) has upgraded its “Destination Greece. Health First” website .

Launched in July 2020 to facilitate travelers, the website initially offered information in Greek and in English. Today, its content is now available in six languages with the addition of German, French, Italian and Russian.

The website’s videos are also subtitled in all six languages.

Apart from updated information on the country’s health protocols, the “Destination Greece. Health First” website also offers information on the restrictions that apply for travel from/to Greece.

According to the GNTO, since its launch the website has been visited by 445,000 users and has had 649,000 page views.

Its users are mainly German (18.99 percent), British (15.42 percent), French (14.56 percent), Italian (10.44 percent), Polish (7.01 percent), Dutch (5.66 percent), Romanian (5.48 percent), Swiss (3.5 percent), Belgian (2.65 percent) and Norwegian (2.08 percent).

The majority – 54.15 percent – of the website’s visitors are men.

One third of its users – 33.50 percent – belong to the 25-34 age group, and are followed by the age groups 18-24 (27.5 percent); 35-44 (15.5 percent); 45-54 (12.50 percent ); 55-64 and 65+ (5 percent each).

“Destination Greece. Health First” is accessible through the special microsite greecehealthfirst.gr, and Greece’s travel application “Visit Greece”.
