Air Travel Lufthansa Group: New Summer Flights to Greek Destinations from Munich by GTP editing team 26 February 2021 written by GTP editing team 26 February 2021 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 13 Lufthansa Group on Thursday said the “Europe focus” of its leisure travel program for summer 2021 will be on Greece and the Canary Islands. Over the course of the summer Lufthansa plans to add around 20 new vacation destinations to its flight program from Frankfurt and 13 new holiday destinations from Munich. For Greece, the Group announced new flights from Munich to the destinations of Chania, Mykonos, Kos, Kavala, Zakynthos and Preveza. “Our leisure travel program for summer 2021 is stronger than ever,” said Harry Hohmeister, Member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG. Mykonos, Greece. Also from Munich, new flights will go to Jerez (Spain) and Hurghada in Egypt. Destinations in its flight program from Frankfurt are Cyprus (Paphos), Croatia (Rijeka), Italy (Lamezia Terme), Tunisia (Djerba), Ponta Delgada (Azores/Portugal) and Bulgaria (Varna). Hohmeister said that many countries are expected to relax travel restrictions towards the summer as more and more people have been vaccinated. “We know that demand will increase sharply as soon as travel restrictions are removed – and we are well equipped to meet this with our excellent range of products and offers,” he added. Lufthansa Group also announced that Eurowings Discover, its new leisure travel-focused airline, will offer numerous long-haul destinations, such as Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and Anchorage in Alaska (USA), from Frankfurt. The Group’s 2021 summer flights purchased by May 31, can be rebooked as often as desired and free of charge until that date. After that, one more rebooking free of charge is possible.
