More specifically, 4,000 permanent residents of Russia are now allowed to enter Greece per week on flights landing only at the airports of Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion. It is reminded that Greece had capped arrivals from Russia at 500 per week. The announcement follows recent talks between Greece and Russia on the matter. Moreover, the HCAA issued new Covid-19 aviation directives that lift: – the ban on flights from Turkey, and – the restrictions for flights from Albania and North Macedonia. Flights to and from Greece from Albania and North Macedonia are now allowed to operate through all Greek airports and not only through Athens International Airport (AIA) as was the case until now. Covid-19 travel restrictions for international flights It is reminded that the submission of the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) by all passengers of international flights to Greece remains mandatory. ALL travelers from abroad will also have to submit a negative Covid-19 test result (PCR) performed up to 72 hours before arrival in Greece. 7-day quarantine for all arrivals All passengers entering Greece from any foreign country, including European Union member states, must self-isolate either at their home (for permanent residents) or at the place of temporary residence declared on the PLF, for 7 days. The travel restrictions are in place until Monday, April 5. The restrictions are part of the Greek government’s efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) in the country.
