Greek airline SKY express recently celebrated the 200th anniversary since the start of the 1821 Greek Revolution with the addition of two new Airbus A320neo aircraft to its fleet.

The brand-new Airbus A320neos were aptly given names inspired by Greece’s significant anniversary: “1821” and “Freedom”.

According to an announcement by the airline, the two new aircraft already “fly high to convey to a total of 39 domestic and international destinations in every corner of Greece and Europe, the feeling of pride that all Greeks boast.”

To further honor this landmark, SKY express offered a free ticket to all passengers aboard flights on March 25, throughout its network.

“We fly together, we celebrate together, this glorious moment of Greece. With faith in our abilities, we will keep flying higher every year,” the airline said.

Sky express is member of the IOGR Group which also offers ground services through Skyserv.
