The European Travel Commission (ETC) is seeking partners to co-invest into a pan-European consumer awareness-raising campaign to reinforce consumer confidence in travel and tourism and stimulate pent-up demand for travel in Europe during the summer of 2021.

ETC also aims to demonstrate the travel industry’s proactive collaboration to provide safe and seamless travel experiences, and build a distinctive image of Europe as a travel destination.

With the key messaging points in place, the campaign will communicate with a certain target audience, one that is best placed and most likely to travel in Europe this summer. It will showcase what travellers can do, offer guidance about travelling safely, share what is taking place in various interesting destinations, and explain what each partner is doing considering the current situation.

“The #OpenUpToEurope campaign supports Europe’s tourism sector by leveraging existing communication and promotional efforts and investing in industry-led communication and promotional initiatives across the continent that foster cooperation and sustainable growth,” ETC says in its open call.

Partners interesting in joining this co-op campaign are encouraged to contact the ETC Executive Unit for more information as soon as possible.

The deadline for applications is on 9 April, 2021.

This program is presented by ETC in the framework of an ad-hoc grant of the European Commission.
