The project will launch waterway/seaplane operations in the area of Kanistro in Kassandra. Once the Kanistro waterway is completed, companies will be allowed to carry out six daily return flights, which can be carried out from licensed water aerodromes or airports. “I am very pleased because, with this approval, a dream we have for the wider region of Halkidiki has come true,” said Alexandros Giannakidis, CEO at Med Sea Health SA, adding that this milestone for tourism in Greece will start from the Miraggio resort. “Destinations such as Halkidiki will be more easily accessible, while visitors who are here will be able to fly to an island for an excursion, for a few extra days of vacation or vice versa,” he added. “Besides the famed islands of the Aegean and the Greek capital, from now on those who dream of coming to Greece, will be able to visit lesser-known destinations, unexplored but equally beautiful, and experience genuine Greek hospitality,” said Giannakidis. Following the change of ownership, the Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort is moving ahead with plans and projects that will contribute to the local and wider economy and create value added for the region.
