According to an announcement by the TCB, Thessaloniki is a popular city break and MICE destination, while Central Macedonia offers many options for alternative tourism. The TCB initiative aims to dynamically promote the destination, enhance entrepreneurship and promote the tourism businesses of Thessaloniki and the wider Central Macedonia region through two events: – the “Thessaloniki, city break & MICE destination” event on May 11, and – the “Alternative tourism in Central Macedonia” event on May 12. The events will take place on a special online platform which will allow participants to present the destination and international hosted buyers to conduct B2B meetings with suppliers from Thessaloniki and the wider region. Furthermore, the platform will offer a digital tour to the area’s points of attraction through a live broadcast.
