Delphi Economic Forum to Host 800 Speakers from 42 Countries in May

The 6th Delphi Economic Forum will take place during May 10-15 in hybrid form with the participation of 800 speakers from 42 countries.

The annual event is usually held in the town of Delphi in Central Greece, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year, it will take place both as a digital and physical event. Its live sessions will be broadcast from the Zapio Mansion in Athens, in accordance with the health protocols announced by Greek authorities.

The forum’s delegates have the opportunity to watch the online and live sessions through three live streaming links, free of charge.

World leaders to participate in Delphi Forum

The sixth edition of the Delphi Economic Forum will host prominent personalities from the field of politics including European presidents, prime ministers, EU commissioners and ministers as well as scientists, university professors, entrepreneurs and many more.

Among them are Estonia President Kersti Kaljulaid, Slovakia President Zuzana Čaputová, European Commission Vice President Margaritis Schinas and Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Stella Kyriakides among many others.

Furthermore, on its first day the forum will host a live discussion between Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.

The issues included on the agenda of the six-day forum are:

– Geopolitics & international security
– Global economy
– The future of Europe
– Sustainability and climate crisis
– People, organizations and society
– Technology and the future of growth
– Greece: Structural reforms and sustainable growth
– Health, education and culture.

Travel and tourism will also be on the forum’s agenda with discussions focusing on the reopening of Greek tourism and the launch of the Digital Green Certificate.

Furthermore, the event will honor the bicentennial of Greece’s independence with sessions dedicated to the country’s history and the 1821 Greek Revolution.

The 6th Delphi Economic Forum will take place under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
