The Greek capital’s five-star AthensWas luxury hotel will reopen its doors on May 14 with increased health and safety measures for guests and staff.

The same day will also see the reopening of the SENSE restaurant that offers fine dining on the hotel’s rooftop. The MODERN Food & Beverage outlet of AthensWas will be the first to mark the opening of the hotel’s facilities on May 7.

“After a period of hardship during the pandemic, the boutique hotel and proud member of Design Hotels invites all guests to discover the beating heart of Athens city centre and the warm hospitality of a luxury hotel,” management said in an announcement.

AthensWas is found at a prime location at Dionysiou Areopagitou str., one of the most historical districts of Athens that offers easy access to numerous landmarks and attractions of the city.

Facilities within the hotel include the MODERN Food & Beverage outlet, where guests can enjoy light snacks and coffee, a Fitness Corner and the SENSE Restaurant on the rooftop, where guests can enjoy Greek modern gastronomy dishes and also their breakfast.

For a third consecutive year, the kitchen of the SENSE Restaurant will be run by executive chef, Alexandros Charalambopoulos. With a blooming career and having worked for some of the most demanding restaurants in Greece and London, the chef is ready to offer an elevated culinary experience to SENSE guests for one more season.

The restaurant, located at one of the most prestigious spots of the hotel, offers unique Greek flavors with modern takes and breathtaking views of the illuminated Acropolis.
