The Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens this summer will give movie lovers the chance to enjoy a unique cinema experience under the stars, at the GB Pool on its seventh floor.

Named “Pool Your Cinema”, the new summer cinema experience will begin on June 3 with the screening of Hollywood’s everlasting masterpiece “Casablanca”.

“The GB Pool of Hotel Grande Bretagne will be dressed up in an absolute summer attire and bow to the magic of the seventh art,” the hotel’s management said in an announcement.

All-time classic favorites and Hollywood blockbusters will show up on the hotel’s big screen to entertain its guests during Athens’ nostalgic summer evenings in a romantic setting by the pool overlooking Lycabettus Hill and the city lights.

Since taste plays a leading role in this summer cinema scenario, Executive Chef Asterios Koustoudis has curated a unique fingerfood set menu to pair with drinks, while the hotel’s guests unwind on the relaxing lounge chairs.

Handmade nachos, slow fermented pizza, Black Angus cheeseburger and caramelized popcorn with Madagascar vanilla and fleur de sel will transform every minute into a luxury experience.

The Grande Bretagne’s movie nights are open to hotel residents and also to non-guests. The summer cinema experience will be available on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9.15pm (arrival time). Seats must be booked in advance.
