According to announcements, on Thursday, June 10: – Athens’ metro lines 2 and 3, the electric railway (line 1), the ILPAP trolley-buses and the tram will not operate. – Trains of railway service operator Trainose will not be running for 24 hours and there will be no services on the suburban railway (Proastiakos). The strike is expected to affect the scheduled itineraries of Wednesday and Friday. – OASA buses will operate only between 9am – 9pm Ferry and air travel Workers on passenger ferries will also join the general strike. According to an announcement by the Pan-Hellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO), all passenger ferries will remain docked across Greece from 00:01 until 24:00 on June 10. Travelers who have booked ferry tickets for Thursday, are advised to check with their travel agents or contact local port authorities for further information. Air travel will also see disruption on Thursday as a result of a planned walkout of the PanHellenic Union of Licensed Aeronautical Telecommunication Officers (11:00 – 15:00 local time) and of the OSYPA-Federation of Associations of HCAA (11:30 – 15:30 local time). Travelers are advised to check with their airline companies for further information. GSEE and ADEDY are protesting against a labor draft bill tabled in Parliament, that includes regulations on employees’ working hours, individual employment contracts, collective labor agreements and the right to industrial action.
