The new flights are part of the airline’s strategic synergy with one of the largest tour operators in Austria, Sky express said in a company announcement. Flights from Austria to the three popular Greek islands will operate until October from the airports of Klagenfurt and Graz. According to the airline, the new routes will lay the groundwork for a spike in tourist traffic and thus will strengthen the local economy of the islands with the influx of a large number of Austrian visitors. “The preference of Austrian travelers to our Greek islands is well known… The direct flights to Paros, Naxos and Skiathos will enhance the visitors positive experience from the moment they start their journey to Greece and their favorite destinations,” said SKY express Chairman of the Board Theodoros Krokidas. Part of IOGR Group of companies, SKY express operates the largest domestic network in Greece. With its entrance in international markets the airline now covers a total of 47 destinations in 9 countries.
