Air Travel Cyprus Airways Resumes Connection to Thessaloniki, Announces New Flights to Greece by GTP editing team 23 June 2021 written by GTP editing team 23 June 2021 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 13 Photo source: @Cyprus Airways Cyrpus Airways on Wednesday announced that it will resume flights from Larnaca, Cyprus, to Thessaloniki’s Makedonia Airport in northern Greece, aiming to support the recovery of the tourism industry. The carrier will also conduct flights from Cyprus to the Greek airports of Heraklion (Crete), Preveza and Skiathos. Flights from Larnaca to Thessaloniki will be conducted every Tuesday and Saturday; to Heraklion on Thursdays and Sundays; to Preveza every Wednesday; and to Skiathos on Mondays and Thursdays. “We recognize the strong ties of Greece and Cyprus. Air connectivity between the two countries remains a significant part of our flight schedule,” Cyprus Airways COO Giorgos Mavrokostas said. On behalf of Fraport Greece, Executive Director of Commercial & Business Development George Vilos welcomed Cyprus Airways’ decision to resume flights to Greece. The company manages the airports of Thessaloniki, Skiathos and Preveza. “This is a difficult and demanding period and the gradual return to normality requires close cooperation and support between companies that share the same vision and goals. Fraport Greece will continue to support Cyprus Airways by offering a healthy business environment and a close, consistent collaboration in all sectors,” Vilos said.
