The announcement came a few days after Greek authorities decided to reopen wellness services across the country. ETAD reopened the thermal springs of lake Kaiafa in western Peloponnese; Edipsos on Evia; and Ypati near Karpenissi, on June 19, while the thermal springs of Nigrita near Serres will resume operations on July 15. The company has completed all necessary maintenance works in the facilities of the thermal spas to ensure the safety of visitors and provide high-quality services. Kaiafas Thermal Spa Kaifa Lake. Photo © ETAD The Kaiafas Thermal Spa facility, located in western Peloponnese, covers an area of approximately 6,139,000 square meters including the forest area. A part of the European Natura 2000 network, the property includes a two-star hotel, a hydrotherapy center with a thermal bath pool, individual hydrotherapy baths, customer lounges and an outdoor heated pool with an open roof. Its facilities include an outdoor pool, baths (luxury and regular), whirlpool baths, hydro-massage and an indoor pool. The outdoor swimming pool serves around 15,500 guests per year. It offers a hydrotherapy center, luxury baths surrounded by a number of waiting and rest rooms for bathers, an outdoor swimming pool and a physiotherapy clinic. Its hotel and hydrotherapy center operate on a plot of 12,200 square meters. According to ETAD, the thermal spas and their facilities are operating in accordance with the latest Covid-19 health and safety protocols as announced by the Greek authorities. All facilities are frequently disinfected while all staff members regularly conduct self tests for Covid-19. In addition, all guests are requested to wear a mask when entering the facilities and while using the hydrotherapy center. It is also mandatory for them to receive a health certificate from the doctor of each thermal spa’s clinic. More information can be found at https://www.hppc.gr/en/home.
