Italian air carrier, Alitalia has announced that from July 31 it will boost the frequency of its flights from Rome to Athens from the current daily flight to 3 flights per day.

According to an announcement, Alitalia is boosting its flight frequencies to Athens due to high demand. The increase in flight frequencies will also ensure seamless connections to many destinations of its network.

The airline this summer is also offering seasonal flights from Rome to 9 Greek islands and from Milan to Rhodes.

More specifically, Alitalia is operating flights between Rome Fiumicino Airport and the airports of  RhodesHeraklion (Crete), CorfuKefaloniaZakynthosMykonosSantoriniSkiathosPreveza (Lefkada), as well as from the airport Linate of Milan to Rhodes and vice versa.

Moreover, the airline has announced low ticket prices for its seasonal flights to Greece. Prices start from 35 euros (final price with hand luggage) for a one-way trip (Economy Class).

As safe travel has always been Alitalia’s priority, the airline informs that its aircraft are disinfected daily with highly disinfectant products.

“Thanks to HEPA filters and vertical air circulation, the air in the aircraft is not only refreshed every three minutes, but is 99.7 percent clean, as in a sterile room,” Alitalia said

Passengers must also wear a protective surgical mask from the moment of arrival at the airport and during the flight. The mask must be replaced with a new one every 4 hours, in case of longer flights.

Alitalia’s flight schedule may change due to travel restrictions imposed by national and international authorities that concern the development of the Covid-19 virus.
