CloudKeys is part of Hospitality Services PC, a company that operates in the vacation rental and tourist economy sector for the last three years. Its first online sale of a collectable NFT travel package went live on June 14. Innovative initiative By utilizing the blockchain capabilities, 10 travellers will have the chance to visit Greece and emerge themselves in a once in a lifetime adventure in Athens and Santorini. The route of the trip will be personalized as well as the aerial terrestrial, aerial and aquatic events that our team will organize for them. This collectable NFT package, which has only 10 numbered editions, will be purchased exclusively through cryptocurrencies and will be imprinted in the Ethereum blockchain. “Whoever decides to purchase this NFT trip, will have the chance to experience Greece in a unique way and get a taste of what’s coming next in the travel sector,” Cloudkeys’ co- founder, Dora Pavlidou, explains. According to Pavlidou, the NFT will change the way travel operates. “We are very excited that the audience can finally experience the project we were working on for the last few months. With a truly collectable journey filled with special symbolisms, world famous gastronomy and most of all the magic of Greek hospitality, this NFT will change the way travel operates,” Pavlidou said. “For the crypto community travelling in Greece is becoming more accessible than ever through this innovative and global initiative,” Pavlos Skoufis, the company’s co-founder, concludes. The NFT market has reached a profit of almost 2.5 billion dollars during the first 5 months of 2021, with traditional auction houses like Sotheby’s and Christie’s incorporating non fungible artwork into their collections. Institutions such as the NBA also succumb to the NFT craze, mainly because of the appeal of the uniqueness surrounding them, as well as the safety of the transactions. To name a few examples of NFTs that have been put up for sale: tickets, pieces of art, videos, songs, clothes, collectible cards, etc. For the implementation of this technically demanding initiative, Cloudkeys partnered with the Los Angeles based international platform omgdrops.com. The company is already involved in the creation and sale of NFTs with world-renowned artists and athletes such as Cody Simpson, Bootsy Collins, Rick Carter, etc. Join the 15,000+ travel executives who read our newsletter Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
