Six business groups have expressed an interest in acquiring a concession for the marina of Kalamaria in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) said on Wednesday.

The marina in question is located in the Aretsou area within the boundaries of the Municipality of Kalamaria. It can accommodate over 380 yachts up to 50m in length. The upland area of the marina covers approximately 78,000 sq.m.

Expressions of Interest were submitted by the following Interested Parties (in alphabetical order): Aktor Concessions SA, Avax SA, Emma Alpha Holding LTD, Porto Carras Marina SA, Technical Olympic SA and Tekal SA.

HRADF’s advisors will evaluate the expressions of interest and submit their recommendation, regarding the candidates who qualify for the tender’s next phase (binding offers phase), to the fund’s Board of Directors.

HRADF’s tender process refers to the concession of port operation services (berthing and other services) and of the right to use, operate, manage and exploit the movable and/or fixed assets within the upland area and/or the sea area of the marina of Kalamaria for at least 35 years.
