Part of the Makedonia Palace hotel, Salonica was awarded as one of the country’s best restaurants for 2021 for its Greek contemporary cuisine, during an awards ceremony that was recently held by Athinorama magazine. The restaurant achieved a score of 15/20 – the highest among Thessaloniki’s restaurants. Salonica is headed by award-winning Executive Chef Sotiris Evaggelou who creates dishes and flavors with carefully selected raw materials from all over Greece and especially the Macedonia region. Evaggelou’s menu is adjusted to each season to include the best quality raw materials available. Its inspiring tastes are combined with excellent wine labels from Greek and foreign vineyards. Apart from authentic tastes, the Salonica Restaurant also offers stunning views towards the sea. Its hall with the open kitchen and the large windows offers panoramic views of the Thermaikos gulf and Mount Olympus. In the summer months, culinary action is transferred to the Salonica Garden – the restaurant’s elegant garden right on the coast.
