Through the partnership, Celestyal Cruises will improve its already strict hygiene and safety protocols by upgrading its ships’ HVAC air conditioning system, which uses 100 percent fresh air as well as HEPA filters in the medical facilities on board. “The health and safety of our passengers, crew and the destinations we visit is our first priority. We are constantly upgrading our safety measures, in order to ensure the health of everyone on board,” Celestyal Cruises CEO Chris Theophilides said. Celestyal Cruises’ HVAC air conditioning systems already use AtmosAir’s state-of-the-art BPI technology, which aims to improve the wellbeing of both travelers and crew by suppressing microorganisms and pathogens including viruses, bacteria and mold, while reducing odors and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). In addition, the BPI technology effectively prevents the spread of Covid-19 in the air and on surfaces. The Microchem lab, one of world’s leading laboratories specializing in testing disinfection products, has confirmed that the presence of the coronavirus (Covid-19) was reduced by 99.92 percent indoors within 30 minutes of exposure to AtmosAir’s bi-polar ion technology.
