Norway has included several Greek regions in the “dark red” and “red” categories of its Covid-19 risk-assessment map, which determines which travelers are required to quarantine upon their arrival to the country.

Following the map’s update on July 26, Norway has placed Crete in the “dark red” category following an increase of coronavirus (Covid-19) incidents on the island.

This means that people traveling from Crete to Norway must stay in a quarantine hotel for three days and then complete the rest of their quarantine in other suitable accommodation.

Other countries/regions that require three days in a quarantine hotel include the Balearic Islands; Cyprus, The Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Norway has also placed the South Aegean and the Ionian islands in the red category, and the North Aegean islands in the orange category. This means that travelers from these regions are required to self-isolate upon their arrival to Norway.

According to Norway’s latest travel restrictions, travelers arriving from an orange/red/purple/grey country/region, must go into quarantine (certain exemptions apply).

People arriving to Norway from red/orange countries/regions must go straight to suitable accommodation in order to complete their quarantine.

In green countries/regions, the infection rate is considered to be low and there is no requirement for quarantine.
