In an announcement on Friday, the ministry said it strongly recommends that travelers self test for Covid once they return home as a precaution. The free Covid-19 self-test kits will be available at pharmacies in Greece from August 30 until September 6 to the following groups of citizens: – unvaccinated public and private sector workers – unvaccinated persons aged 5-17 years (the self-test kits will given to a parent/legal guardian holding the AMKA social security number of the child/teenager) – unvaccinated persons aged 18-30 years old if they have an AMKA social security number or a PAMKA (temporary AMKA) number. The ministry said that self-test results (whether positive or negative) should be declared on the self-testing.gov.gr website. Citizens can issue a certificate from the website.
