The Authentic” 2021 event Registration for the “Athens Marathon. The Authentic” 2021 opens on September 1 on the event’s official website, according to an announcement by organizer Hellenic Athletics Federation (SEGAS). SEGAS said the marathon will take place as planned during November 12-13 but with a limited number of entries. Click here to register. In addition, the event’s Covid-19 cancellation policy has been updated and is available here. Rules and health protocols The “Athens Marathon. The Authentic” 2021 event will apply all safety rules and regulations announced by the National Public Health Organization (EODY) and SEGAS. The Protocol for Road Races approved by the Health Committee of the General Secretariat of Sports will also be applied. Only runners that are fully vaccinated or carry a certificate proving that they have recovered from Covid-19 up to 15 days before the collection of the race’s kit, can register and participate in the “Athens Marathon. The Authentic” 2021 event. Moreover, a significant number of runners have chosen to defer their entry from the 2020 event to this year’s marathon. These runners will receive their new registration confirmation by priority, as soon as the registration period opens. SEGAS also announced that the refund process of the “Athens Marathon. The Authentic” 2020 event will begin on September 13 and be completed gradually to all beneficiaries. The “Athens Marathon. The Authentic” 2021 is organized by SEGAS in collaboration with the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the Region of Attica and the municipalities of Athens and Marathon.
