Organized for the first time, the four-day event aims to highlight Greek gastronomy and promote authentic local products. “Thanks to its excellent raw materials and fine local products, Cayo will offer its guests the opportunity to enjoy unique dishes with the inspiration and creativity of Lefteris Lazarou,” the resort’s management said in an announcement. Inspired by Crete, Cayo’s menus aim to promote Greek cuisine through the modern techniques and recipes of its restaurants Cayo Stone Beach House and Kelari Gourmet Restaurant. During the festival, Cayo’s visitors will have the opportunity to choose from a selection of dishes such as the fish sea bream with couscous and the lamb with celery root puree. Local meat and fish will be accompanied by olive oil – chef Lazarou’s favorite ingredient. Cayo Exclusive Resort & Spa features four restaurants offering traditional and modern Greek recipes, as well as international cuisine. Kelari Gourmet features a two-level outdoor space as well as an interior area with distinctive decoration ideal for food-tasting and other events. The Stone Beach House is located on the beach of Plaka, and offering stunning views to the village and the nearby Spinalonga island. Chef Lazarou has curated the menus of both restaurants.
