Greek and foreign tourism professionals will be introduced to a number of innovations at the Athens International Tourism & Culture Expo (AITE) 2021 that is will take place in November at the Greek capital’s Zapio Mansion.

In its eighth year, the event will be held in a physical form during November 25-27, in a Covid-free environment and in accordance with the latest protocols against the spread of Covid-19.

The expo mainly targets incoming tourism and will cover all tourism segments including leisure, luxury, MICE, business & corporate travel, cruise, alternative tourism etc.

“AITE 2021 aims to offer its exhibitors opportunities to form new successful collaborations with leading companies from Greece and abroad,” the expo’s organizer, Leadertech, said in an announcement.

Exhibitors will have the chance to hold B2B meetings with a total of 150 hosted buyers from 40 countries, as well as meetings with tourism professionals from Greece and abroad.

Offline and online stands

Following the success of last year’s online expo – held due to the coronavirus pandemic – this year, the organizers of AITE have decided to combine the physical event with a virtual booth, providing exhibitors with a number of advanced new options.

The virtual booth will allow exhibitors to:

• communicate with thousands of virtual visitors from Greece and abroad
• present their company and products online
• promote Greek tourism destinations as well as Greece’s archaeological and cultural treasures.

In addition, the expo and its exhibitors will be promoted through an advertising campaign to 60,000 tourism companies, tour operators, travel agents, MICE professionals and associations throughout the world.

Honored country: Bulgaria

Bulgaria will be the honored country of the AITE 2021 expo. The country will participate with many exhibitors.

Furthermore, Bulgaria’s Tourism Minister is expected to attend the inauguration ceremony and participate in a Greek-Bulgarian business forum.

Greek cultural heritage in the spotlight

Meanwhile, the 8th Athens International Tourism & Culture Expo will organize an international cultural forum under the title “The Greek archaeological and cultural heritage is a pole of attraction for international tourism”.

The event will be held under the auspices of the Greek Tourism Ministry and the “Greece 2021” Committee.

The 8th AITE 2021 will be held under the auspices of the Tourism Ministry, the Region of Attica, the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE), and the “Greece 2021” Committee and with the support of the Greek National Tourism Organization.
