TIF 2021 was held in the northern port city as an in-person event during September 11-19 at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center under strict health protocols for Covid-19. “TIF [this year] attracted fewer visitors to the city center compared to 2019 – as expected – but it supported the local economy and became a reason for celebration in Thessaloniki,” the exhibition body said in announcement, adding that the “symbolism” of the fair’s opening was very significant since it paved the way for the development of exhibition activity until its full recovery. TIF-Helexpo also referred to the success of the Thessaloniki Helexpo Forum that was held on the sidelines of the fair for a second year with the participation of more than 110 speakers. “We hope that in 2022, the 86th TIF will exceed expectations and take place without the shadow of the pandemic,” the organizer said underlined. TIF-Helexpo continues its exhibition schedule for 2021 with the Beyond 4.0 technology expo that is scheduled to take place in Thessaloniki during October 14-16.
