Launched earlier in September to celebrate the European Heritage Days, the program was initially planned to run until September 26. Following its success, the museum announced additional dates to give more members of migrant and refugee organizations the chance to participate in the one-hour program and learn more about the Acropolis hill, its significant moments and its history and art. Photo source: Acropolis Museum © Giorgos Vitsaropoulos The new dates and hours announced are the following: – September 29 & 30, October 6 & 7 – 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Each group will include up to 20 persons. Refugee and migrant organizations interested in participating must send their request via e-mail at learning@theacropolismuseum.gr or call at +30 210 9000900 ext. 414. The tours will take place in accordance with the latest health measures implemented by the Acropolis Museum to prevent the spread of Covid–19. The use of masks (not provided by the museum) and personal acoustic devices known as “whispers” (provided by the museum) is mandatory.
