His appointment follows the passing of the airport’s previous chairman, George Aronis. Lambiris studied Electronic Engineering at the University of Sussex. He holds an Msc. in Project Management from the University of Birmingham and an MSc. in International Trade, Transport and Finance from UK’s City University. Early in his career he worked at Rockwell Golde before entering the sector of business and investment banking. While working at EFG Telesis Finance and the HSBC Bank plc., Lambiris handled a wide range of industries and products in the markets of Greece, Cyprus and Southeastern Europe. Later, Lambiris took over the position of CEO at the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) and completed a large number of significant privatization projects in Greece.
