Aiming to promote the products of Skiathos, the hotel collaborates with top primary sector producers from the island and other parts of Greece. “Apart from offering high-level hospitality services, the Skiathos Palace Hotel also highlights the valuable products of Greek land,” the hotel’s management said in an announcement. The hotel is also in talks with a beekeeper in Alonissos, and once an agreement is finalized, it will be able to add honey to its range of select products. “Excellent wines, unique quality virgin olive oil and soon fine honey are part of our new venture,” management added. Products from Skiathos and Nemea The Skiathos Palace Hotel offers quality extra virgin olive oil with valuable nutrients and a distinct fruity taste in collaboration with the Antoniou family, a producer based in Glossa, Skopelos, for three generations. In addition, for the last 10 years the hotel has been collaborating with the Semeli Estate, one of Greece’s leading wineries with privately owned vineyards and a state-of-the-art winery, in Nemea. The collaboration includes the production and bottling of two excellent wines, the La Fête Blanc and the La Fête Rouge, both which are available at the Skiathos Palace Hotel, the Alkyon Hotel, the Carnayo Restaurant, the White View Grill Restaurant, the Agia Eleni Summer Beach, at La Isla Tsougria, as well as in wineries and select grocery stores. Skiathos Palace is a member of Noties Sporades SA owned by the Derveni family. The group has a long history in the hospitality industry and has been honored multiple times with awards for its high-end services. The group’s five-star Skiathos Palace Hotel in Koukounaries offers 600 beds, while its new acquisition, the historic four-star Alkyon Hotel in the town of Skiathos, offers 200 beds.
