During a meeting at the Tourism Ministry in Athens, Kikilias and the UAE Ambassador agreed to deepen the tourism cooperation between the two countries. Referring to investments, the UAE Ambassador praised the momentum of Greek tourism and Greece’s management of the Covid-19 pandemic, noting his country’s interest in investing in tourism as well. On his part, Minister Kikilias informed that the Greek government has boosted efforts to create an investment-friendly climate. Morever, the Greek tourism minister underlined the success of the year-round Dubai-Athens-New York (Newark Liberty International Airport) daily air connection of Emirates Airline. The meeting included a discussion on the possibility of launching an air route connecting Dubai with Thessaloniki.
