Travelport, a global leader in travel retail, has entered into a multi-year agreement with one of the world’s largest networks of independent travel agency franchises, the Lufthansa City Center International (LCCI).

The agreement paves the way for all international LCCI members to migrate to Travelport+, Travelport’s newly launched next-generation platform that creates a simplified, capability-rich, marketplace for travel retailing.

Travelport will provide customized solutions for members, catered to their individual needs while crucially integrating into various existing third-party software that is already in use.

These solutions will all be built into Travelport+, which will allow agencies to benefit from a broad range of multi-source travel content, enhanced value generation, and an ever-broadening array of new merchandising capabilities designed to improve the traveler experience while maximizing revenue and customer loyalty.

“Travelport is committed to supporting Lufthansa City Center International by simplifying and upgrading member agencies’ travel retailing capabilities,” said Alistair Rodger, Group Vice President of Agency Sales for Europe at Travelport.

With approximately 230 travel agencies in more than 85 countries, LCCI’s franchisee network specializes in tailor-made customer products for both corporate and leisure travelers.

“Travelport+ will play an important role in our commitment to delivering superior customer experiences across the entire customer journey, as well as reducing technological complexities to meet the expectations of modern travelers,” said Martina Groenegres, Managing Director at Lufthansa City Center International.
