Covid-19: Rules to Enter Banks and Public Services in Greece

Greek authorities have imposed new stricter rules for entry into banks and public services, after a surge of coronavirus (Covid-19) cases across the country last week.

Affecting mostly unvaccinated citizens, the new measures are in effect since Monday morning and until November 22.

Citizens can access public services in physical presence preferably (but not exclusively) after booking an appointment.

To enter public services and banks, citizens are required to have one of the following:

– A vaccination certificate or a recovery certificate (valid for six months)
– A negative PCR or rapid test result. Minors aged between 4-17 can submit a negative self-test result.

Citizens must also carry a valid identification document (ID or passport).

Only urgent cases are exempt from the measure, especially when access to police stations is required.

Health authorities on Sunday announced 4,307 new coronavirus cases and 52 deaths, up from 43 the previous day.

Is it also fascism to stop people drinking and driving too?

Could you please clarify the rules for unvaccinated (or not yet 2 weeks after 2nd vax) eating in outdoor spaces of tavernas. We’re OK but our friend has only had 1st vax, so a few weeks away from qualifying. We thought totally outside tables were OK, but not polythene walled areas or inside for the not yet fully vaccinated. Is this correct, or are they not allowed to eat outside either, without a recent negative recorded test (not self test).
