Lamway Hotel Management Group says it sees 2021 closing on a positive note and with signs of optimism for its business – close to the numbers of 2019, despite the challenges of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

A Greek company specializing in the development and management of hotel units, Lamway also offers counseling services to owners and investors. Its portfolio includes 23 hotels in 12 Greek destinations.

In an announcement, Lamway said that although Greece’s tourism season launched later (end of June) compared to previous years, the desire of tourists to experience relaxing carefree holiday moments contributed to the increase of demand for Greek island destinations as well as to the extension of the tourism season until early November.

Lamway highlighted that its team ensured that its partner hotels operated without any problems during the summer season of 2021.

“We remain optimistic about next year’s tourism season and look forward to a more productive summer in 2022, in terms of revenue and occupancy rates. The circumstances in the international market have led us in the decision to implement a structured strategy in hotel management as well as in the fields of marketing and sales,” Lamway CEO Dimosthenis Leontis said.

Since the beginning of 2021, Lamway Hotel Management Group has added new hotels to its portfolio of properties on the islands of Paros and Santorini.

Its immediate plans for the year ahead also include the addition of new hotels on Mykonos, Andros, Spetses, Santorini, Crete and Samos.

Lamway will also invest in green tourism with the addition of a new five-star hotel that is under construction on Mykonos. The new hotel will introduce green practices in its maintenance, services and products in order to reduce its environmental footprint.
