Kyvernitis Travel Group, one of Greece’s leading providers of corporate and leisure travel and events services, has announced the launch of “The Greek Shipping Podcast” series, an initiative designed to “give voice” to the people of shipping and convey meaningful messages to its listeners.

Stories of shipping, seamanship and the sea

Through “The Greek Shipping Podcast”, Kyvernitis Travel aims for all to learn of the experiences that the protagonists have to share; to listen attentively to what they have to say; to understand the philosophy they developed while working in this highly competitive industry; to listen to the advice they give to younger generations who have their sights set on the sea; and to learn through experiential stories the secrets that led Greece to be the world’s first shipping power, unfolding at the same time the history behind Greek shipping.

The episodes of “The Greek Shipping Podcast” will be available on Spotify, Apple & Google podcasts, as well as on the company’s specially designed website.

The inspiration of the initiative came from Manolis Vordonis, the honorary first guest of the “The Greek Shipping Podcast”, which will be presented by Greek journalist Minas Tsamopoulos.

“The Greek Shipping Podcast was created out of our love for travel and Greek Shipping. Podcasting is a new way of communication and we are very happy to be pioneer, thus approaching this way the new generation which is interested in the shipping industry” said George Kyvernitis, CEO of the group.

The initiative is supported by Kyvernitis Travel’s official airline partner, Qatar Airways.
