As of December 15 the airline will resume flights to Athens – a popular destination for Cypriot travelers – with three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flights to Heraklion, Crete, will continue throughout the winter season and be conducted on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Moreover, Cyprus Airways will resume flights to Beirut from December 18, with three weekly flights as well as and to Tel Aviv on January 10, with two weekly services. Flights to Moscow will continue during winter with two weekly flights, every Monday and Thursday. In addition, flights to Heathrow Airport in London will start on February 1, with three flights per week every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. Flights to London will depart from Larnaca in the morning. Cyprus Airways was recently acquired by SJC, a Malta-based group active in Africa and the Middle East. SJC Group’s activities also include commercial helicopter flights, helicopter maintenance and the management of a fleet of private jets that provide emergency services to remote locations.
