Sweden’s ‘First Class Magazine’ Highlights Greece as Ski Destination

Sweden’s “First Class Magazine” has highlighted Greece as a winter destination in an article published recently on its online edition.

Titled “Skiing in Greece”, the article was published following a press trip organized last year – prior to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic – by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) service in Scandinavia to promote Greece as an ideal destination for winter sports.

First Class Magazine Founder Eva Susanne Nilsson and Photographer Mauro Rongione had visited Athens and Central Greece to promote the potential of winter tourism in a destination that is popular to Swedish travelers mainly for its summer holiday offerings.

The report highlights the Parnassos Ski Center near Arachova as “impressive”, especially in a country that is “known for its sea and sun and not as a ski destination”.

The article also promotes Athens’ sites, monuments and gastronomy scene; the popular winter destination of Arachova; and the unique sites of Delphi and its local products.
