Launched in July, the Freedom Pass card serves as a reward and an incentive for those aged 18-25 to get vaccinated against Covid-19. It covers costs for travel and entertainment, including air fare or ferry tickets, vehicle rentals, accommodation, admission to museums and archaeological sites. The extension concerns those who are born between 1996-2003 and have taken or will take at least one shot of any vaccine against Covid-19 and issue the card until December 31. So far, over 500,000 young people have used the Freedom Pass in Greece. To receive the card, eligible individuals must submit their application at freedompass.gov.gr using their Taxisnet password and username (those who do not have a tax number can get one at the KEP citizens’ service centers). They must also provide their cell phone number and e-mail. Information on how to activate the card will be sent via sms and e-mail the following day.
