Organised under the auspices of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), ICAP’s recent 11th award ceremony distinguished the 59 most profitable companies and 15 groups in the field of Greek entrepreneurship for the year 2020. ICAP had examined a total of 30,000 companies in Greece. Karatzis is a Crete-based group manufacturing innovative netting materials, that has made select investments in renewable energy and tourism. Among its tourism investment projects is the Nana Princess, a five-star hotel on Crete. The criteria serving as indicators in naming Karatzis Group a “True Leader”, were it ranking among the 500 companies or 150 groups with the largest numbers in personnel, having significantly increased its staff from 2019 to 2020; it holding one of the top positions within its field based on its turnover; and it holding a high “ICAP Credit Score”. Antonis Karatzis The award confirms Karatzis Group’s status as a leading force in the domestic market. “Distinctions of this sort are testament to the the hard work and dedication all our people have demonstrated towards the work we continue to successfully produce for many years with a vision of innovation, extroversion, social responsibility and sustainable development,” Karatzis Group President and CEO Antonis Karatzis said. The “True Leader” title shows that Karatzis Group, through its collective activity, actively contributes to the reversal of the climate of recession brought upon the national economy by the Covid-19 pandemic, creating greater prospects for the country’s future. “Despite the difficult circumstances arising from the health crisis, the group remains loyal to its goals with consistency and perseverance and continues to grow and lead,” Karatzis added.
