Following the success of last year’s event, which took place online due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, TCB will hold the second edition of “Connect” this time as an in-person event, aiming to promote Thessaloniki and the wider region to the international tourism and MICE industries, as well as support tourism businesses in Central Macedonia. During the event, selected hosted buyers representing international tourism enterprises will have the chance to hold pre-scheduled meetings with suppliers active in Central Macedonia. Furthermore, they will have the opportunity to take part in fam trips and tours around Thessaloniki and the surrounding areas. The “Connect” event will also feature destination presentations and networking opportunities. According to TCB President Yiannis Aslanis, the event will exclusively focus on the promotion of specific destinations in Thessaloniki and Central Macedonia. “Our primary goal is to develop new collaborations that will adapt to the different needs of the market. We look forward to host representatives of the international tourism market and show them our destination,” Aslanis added.
