An investment of 33.4 million euros, the new Ibis Athens Museum Hotel will be developed in a historic area on October 28 and Marni streets, opposite to the National Archaeological Museum of Athens. The new hotel unit will house two international brands: the Ibis Styles and Ibis Budget, which will both operate as three-star hotels under the management of Elastik Hotel. The Ibis Athens Museum Hotel will feature 327 rooms (637 beds) as well as 127 underground parking spaces. Source: Pavlos Ninios Architects Planners and Engineers – Cape Consultants The hotel’s restaurant, bar, pool and pool bar on the top floor will combine top-notch services and stunning views of the Acropolis, the Lycabettus hill, the National Archaeological Museum and the Pedion tou Areos park. Its facilities will be accessible both to guests and visitors on a 24-hour basis. “Athens is a destination with unique characteristics: it combines the magic of the past with the spirit of the present,” Boissée Finances General Manager Eric Rollin said. The Ibis Athens Museum Hotel will operate in a building owned by the Triantios Vocational and Industrial School of Patra under a 50-year long lease contract. Designed by Pavlos Ninios Architects Planners and Engineers – Cape Consultants, the hotel will be developed with respect to the urban environment and the area’s historic buildings using sustainable materials. Its design will also ensure easy access to its facilities for people with disabilities. According to Rollin, with the new hotel, Boissée Finances aims to offer high-level experiences to travelers who choose budget travel but also wish to enjoy high-quality services.
