Greek airline SKY express on Tuesday announced that it has joined “Worldwide by easyJet” program to expand destination options and offer connecting flights throughout Europe and beyond.

Powered by Icelandic technology company Dohop, the program allows travelers to plan itineraries on SKY express and easyJet through a single booking.

“Our virtual interline technology enables partnerships between airlines and connects travelers with a seamless, quick, and easy transfer through one of our connection hubs across Europe,” Dohop Commercial Director Sarah Hanan said.

SKY express operates domestic flights as well as flights to destinations across Europe. Its signing up to “Worldwide by easyJet” opens new destination options for its customers allowing them to combine affordable flights to major destinations across Europe and the Middle East.

“This cooperation is of strategic importance for us because its main goal is to offer our passengers more options, but also to strengthen the potential of our country as a dynamic travel destination,” SKY express Commercial Director Yiannis Lidakis said.

Dohop’s interline technology will enable customers to find and book convenient, low-cost flight combinations for self-connecting itineraries on “Worldwide by easyJet” to 20+ new SKY express destinations across Greece and beyond.

easyJet Chief Commercial Officer Sophie Dekkers highlighted that the cooperation with SKY express opens up access to even more new destinations in Greece this summer.

“At easyJet we’re committed to making travel as easy as possible as well as providing great value and more choice for our customers when they travel,” she said.

SKY express’ alliance with Dohop is added to the list of interconnection deals the Greek carrier has made with American Airlines, Air Serbia, Qatar Airways, Air France, KLM, Middle East Airlines, Cyprus Airways and Condor.
