With the summer tourism season approaching, the airline revealed its top 5 destinations list with the aim to provide its customers with the inspiration they need for their holiday planning. Ryanair picked Santorini for its stunning caldera and sunsets. “Arguably the most beautiful of all the Greek islands, Santorini’s stunning caldera poses as the ultimate centerpiece, offering the most amazing views of rugged landscapes and the whitewashed cubiform houses overlooking the sea and beaches consisting of black, red and white lava pebbles,” the carrier said. “With some of the most mesmerising sunrises and sunsets, Santorini is well known for being an island of romance – the perfect holiday destination for couples.” Photo © Maria Paravantes Ryanair’s list also includes five destinations on the Canary islands: – Lanzarote was selected for its golden sand beaches, crystal clear waters, unique volcanic landscape and authentic Spanish tapas – Tenerife, the largest of the Canary islands, is famed for its diversity of landscape and great weather all year round – Fuerteventura is a famous holiday destination boasting white sandy beaches interrupted by cliffs and sheltered coves – Gran Canaria is a diverse mountainous island known for its black lava and white sand beaches.
