The list also includes the island of Santorini on the fourth spot. To compile its Top 10 list, the company found the most trending destinations for 2022 on TripAdvisor. Then, DiscoverCars.com explored a number of factors that impact climate – for example the implications of a return flight to the destination, the total number of hotels offering EV charging points and the number of vegan restaurants the location offers. Rhodes topped the list with a total score of 67 points out of 100. The island scored high for offering the following sustainable options: Climate Impact (Round-trip flight) KG CO2: 1,195 Hotels With EV Charging Points: 3 Number of vegan restaurants: 495 Number of nature spots: 73 Pollution level: Low “Rhodes is one of the Mediterranean’s most popular resorts for holidaymakers and perfect for those who wish to relax but also, with its extensive watersport offering, for any thrillseekers looking for an action-packed vacation,” DiscoverCars.com says. “This stunning island offers its visitors views of bright green hills and valleys, uninterrupted golden beaches, numerous cultural and archeological sites and it even boasts a UNESCO World Heritage Medieval Center, namely the Medieval City of Rhodes.” Santorini in fourth spot The island of Santorini is fourth on the list with a score of 63/100 points. Santorini attracts thousands of visitors every year due to its stunning vistas, picture-perfect sunsets and iconic blue-domed skyline.
